It’s a matter of concern that globally, drinking water resources available for human consumption is less than 1% and only about 20% of world’s population has access to running water. Moreover, the capital spent on maintaining and upgrading existing water infrastructure worldwide runs into hundreds of billions of dollars each year. In such a context, it becomes imperative to safeguard one of Earth’s most precious assets for our future generations.
Our tie-up with Lackeby Water Group, Sweden, stands testimony to our efforts in this direction. In the past few years, we have laid pipelines and distribution systems as part of our development projects for special economic zones and installed thousands of metres of varied piping systems such as Ductile Iron, Stoneware and RCC. We will be further extending our presence in this segment through the construction of plants for water treatment, sewage treatment, water recycle and desalination plants.
